Liftera
Liftera uses a pen-type applicator, which shapes both how areas are split and how a quote is worded.
How it works
Liftera is a focused ultrasound device from Asterasys that delivers energy through a slim, pen-type applicator rather than a larger handpiece. The smaller footprint is meant to make it easier to reach narrower or curved areas. Like other HIFU systems, it places small thermal points beneath the skin, and any tightening is expected to develop gradually over months. It is not a substitute for surgical lifting, and the degree of change differs between people.
Good to know
- A pen-type tip covers a smaller zone per shot, so the shot total for the same face can look larger than on a wide-head device.
- Because of its size, it may be described as suited to smaller zones such as around the mouth or the jawline edge, which clinics sometimes price per zone.
- Ask whether the applicator tip or cartridge is itemized or part of the fee.
- Asterasys also sells other devices, so the quote should state Liftera by name.
How Liftera affects a treatment quote
A larger shot count is not the same thing as a larger treatment here. Since each shot of a pen-type applicator covers a modest patch, two clinics can plan the same face and write different totals. What you want to compare is the area mapped, not only the digit.
That makes the zone list the most informative part of a Liftera estimate. Ask whether the plan names specific regions, whether it includes the neck, and whether a refresh visit is expected. Tax, numbing and the consult fee are yes-or-no items. If the clinic bundles Liftera with another lifting treatment, ask for each part to be shown separately so that the pen-type portion can be read on its own.
Liftera: common questions
Does a higher shot count on Liftera mean a bigger plan?
Not necessarily. Smaller shots cover less skin each, so the count should be read together with the list of areas.
Is Liftera priced by zone or by shot?
Clinics use either. A per-zone price should come with an approximate shot count so you can compare it elsewhere.
Can Liftera be combined with another lifting treatment in one quote?
It can be bundled, and the quote should then list each device and its own unit separately.
