LDM Ultrasound Skin Care
LDM uses ultrasound rather than injections or lasers, so there are no vials or units. The cost question is about session length, treated area, number of sessions and whether a mask or ampoule is added.
How it works
A handpiece delivers dual-frequency ultrasound to the skin through a water-based gel. The aim is to calm the skin, support circulation and deliver comfort rather than to cause injury. It is used for dull, sensitive or reddish skin, often as part of a sequence with other treatments. Evidence of benefit is modest and results vary by person.
Who it may suit
- People with sensitive or reactive skin.
- Those looking for a gentle session with no downtime.
- Anyone who wants to support skin after other procedures, as advised by the doctor.
The treatment day
- Skin review. The doctor or nurse checks skin condition and any recent procedures.
- Cleansing. The skin is cleansed and gel applied.
- Ultrasound session. The handpiece is moved over the face for a timed period.
- Finishing. A calming mask or moisturizer is applied.
Aftercare
- Use gentle skincare and sunscreen afterward.
- Mild warmth may last a short time.
- Resume normal activities the same day.
- Follow any specific advice given for combined treatments.
Things to know first
- Mild warmth or redness may occur briefly.
- Not suited to people with active infection, open wounds or implanted electronic devices unless cleared by a doctor.
- Pregnancy is generally a reason to confirm with the doctor first.
- Results are mild and vary by person, and it is not a substitute for medical treatment of skin disease.
What the price of LDM care depends on
Without injectable product, the price rests on time and area. A session may be priced by length, by zone such as full face versus cheeks, or as part of a package of visits. Ask how long each session is and what is covered.
Add-ons are the main variable: calming masks, ampoules and take-home products can be included or billed separately. Ask for each to be listed.
Courses are common, usually weekly or every second week, so the real total is the per-session figure multiplied by the visits. Compare packages by asking how the cost changes if you stop early, and confirm whether VAT is shown separately.
If LDM is added to another procedure on the same day, ask whether it is priced as a standalone session or as a discounted add-on, and whether the combined visit is shown on a single itemized quote.
LDM Ultrasound Skin Care: common questions
Why does LDM cost differently from an injection?
There is no product vial. The cost reflects time, equipment use and the add-ons chosen.
Is a mask included?
Sometimes. Ask whether masks or ampoules are part of the session.
How many sessions do I need?
A series is common, but the number varies by person.
Is there downtime?
None is expected; mild warmth may be felt briefly.
