Oligio
Oligio is a Korean-made monopolar RF device, usually quoted in shots with a tip that has a set capacity.
How it works
Oligio is a monopolar radiofrequency device from Wontech that operates at 6.78 MHz. The handpiece tip delivers radiofrequency energy to the deeper dermis and subcutaneous layer, and the practitioner moves across the face in a grid so that each shot lands on a defined spot. The heat is intended to encourage collagen remodeling. It is a non-surgical approach and does not replace a surgical lift.
Good to know
- Shots are the standard unit, and the tip has a rated shot capacity that limits one tip to a limited number of treatments.
- Energy level and the number of passes are set by the doctor, which is why two people can receive different shot totals for the same area.
- The Wontech name distinguishes it from other 6.78 MHz monopolar systems made by different companies, so the model should be named on the estimate.
- Plans are often described as a single visit or a short course, and the quote should state which.
How Oligio affects a treatment quote
A quote for Oligio is easiest to read when it states shots per area and the number of visits. A figure for one visit with 300 shots and a figure for a course of visits with the same per-visit count are different commitments, even if the first line looks alike.
Check whether the tip is listed apart or included. When a tip is not fully used in one visit, some clinics save the remainder, others do not, and a few do not offer that at all. Ask directly. Then go through the supporting lines: numbing, VAT, and any post-visit product. Because energy settings are adjusted on the day, the shot count in an early message is closer to an estimate than a promise.
Oligio: common questions
What does an Oligio shot count tell me?
It shows how much work is planned. Compare it per area and per visit, and ask what energy level range the doctor expects to use.
Can unused shots carry over?
Policies differ by clinic. Ask before you pay, and ask for it in writing if it matters to you.
Is Oligio quoted per face or per shot?
Either format exists. A whole-face price is easier to compare if it states the approximate shot count.
