Hyaluronic Acid Skin Booster
These boosters use non-crosslinked or lightly crosslinked hyaluronic acid injected into the skin for hydration rather than volume. Cost depends on the product, the volume in the syringe, the area covered and the number of sessions. Products vary widely in concentration and design.
How it works
Small amounts of hyaluronic acid are placed in many points in the dermis. The gel attracts and holds water, which may make the skin look smoother and more hydrated. Unlike filler, it is not meant to reshape contours. Effects vary by person and fade over months, so repeat sessions are usual.
Who it may suit
- People with dry, dull or fine-lined skin.
- Those who want a soft, hydrated look without added volume.
- Anyone who prefers a series of light sessions.
The treatment day
- Skin review. The doctor checks hydration, texture and suitability.
- Numbing. Numbing cream is applied before injection.
- Microinjection. The product is placed with fine needles or a multi-needle tool across the area.
- Follow-up. A repeat is often planned a few weeks later.
Aftercare
- Avoid rubbing and heavy makeup for the rest of the day.
- Expect small bumps for one to three days.
- Avoid saunas and intense exercise for a day.
- Use sunscreen and a gentle moisturizer.
Things to know first
- Bumps, redness and bruising are common.
- Lumps, infection and allergic reaction are possible but uncommon.
- Vascular complications, though rare, can occur with any injectable.
- Not advised during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with active infection or inflammation.
- Results vary by person and are temporary.
What the price of a hyaluronic skin booster depends on
Check the syringe volume and the product first. Products differ in concentration and crosslinking, and sizes range from small vials to a full cc, so the same figure can buy very different amounts. A quote should name the brand and the volume per session.
Then consider the area and the number of sessions. A full face costs more product than cheeks only, and a course is commonly two to three visits several weeks apart. Packages reduce the per-session figure but fix the plan.
Finally, ask whether numbing, a follow-up and VAT are shown as separate lines, and whether a combination with another booster changes the quote.
If you are visiting from abroad, ask whether a series can be compressed into a short stay and whether the tourist VAT refund applies, since both change the practical cost.
Hyaluronic Acid Skin Booster: common questions
How is this different from filler in terms of cost?
Boosters are counted by volume across a wide area for hydration, while filler is counted by syringe for shaping. They are separate products.
Does a larger syringe cost more?
Usually, but compare the volume and the concentration, not the price alone.
How many sessions are needed?
Two or three is common, though it varies by person.
Can I combine boosters?
Sometimes, but the combination changes the quote, so ask for each product itemized.
